bruce Bruce Hutchison currently is the newest member of the CONO board and serves as a Director at Large. Growing up as an army brat, Bruce Hutchison was  fortunate to live in a number of states as a child, including Alaska, Texas, and Hawaii. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley in electrical    engineering in 1972, he moved to Fort Collins, Colorado to begin his professional career fabricating and designing micro-chips for the Hewlett-Packard Company in Loveland, Colorado. He relocated his family of four to Colorado Springs in 1990 when he accepted a job at HP's facility on Garden of the Gods road. Bruce has lived in the Pinecliff neighborhood ever since and especially loves having his backyard border Ute Valley Regional Park.

Upon retiring from Agilent Technologies in 2009, Bruce became involved with several non-profit organizations to keep busy and broaden his experiences. He joined the Pinecliff HOA board originally as the "parks guy" and in 2012 became President. One of his HOA efforts was to initiate the formation of the Friends of Ute Valley Park and lobby the city to expand the park through the purchase of 203 acres of open space from HP. Over a two year period, the city was able to buy the property using TOPS funds and now Bruce serves on the Friends of Ute Valley Park board. He has been a long time Boy Scout leader and currently serves as the Charter Representative for Pack 166 and Troop 66 which keeps him young at heart. Bruce enjoys skiing during the winter months and fly fishing the other 3 seasons. He is the Membership VP of the Cheyenne Mountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited and is an active member of the Pikes Peak Fly Fishers club. Joining the CONO board has been a very positive and educational opportunity for Bruce. Working with our city and county governments and gaining insights into the wide range of needs and priorities within our local neighborhoods has been truly rewarding experience.
