Dana is a native Coloradoan, born and raised in Pueblo. She attended the University of Colorado in Boulder and eventually settled in Colorado Springs, graduating from UCCS with a degree in electrical engineering. She started her engineering career working in the Aerospace and Defense industry eventually transferring to the commercial high tech industry working for Agilent Technologies (formally HP), and now Keysight Technologies in the Garden of the Gods facility. Dana obtained her real estate license in 2003 and although not currently actively working in real estate she still holds her license as she and her husband own rental property.
After moving to the Mesa neighborhood in 2003 Dana joined the Friendship Crescent Mesa Neighborhood Association (FCMNA) board and has served multiple terms on the board including a term as board president. Dana and her husband have also been active volunteers for the Business of Art Center in Manitou (now Manitou Art Center). Dana eventually served on the board including a term as board president. Dana is also 2006 graduate of Leadership Pikes Peak.
Dana is an active runner, running in many local races, an avid hiker, snow shoe enthusiast, and otherwise active in the outdoors. She runs with several different running clubs in Colorado Springs and in Loveland, CO.
