Bike to Work Day CONO Breakfast Station
This year, CONO teamed up with a stellar group of partners including Trails & Open Space Coalition, Kids on Bikes, Concrete Couch, Fountain Creek Watershed District, and the Colorado Native Plant Society to host an unforgettable Bike to Work Day event!
A Morning to Remember
On Wednesday, June 26, from the early hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., the Sustain-A-Center at 702 E Boulder St in Colorado Springs transformed into a bustling hub of cyclists, community spirit, and delicious treats. Riders of all ages and experience levels gathered to enjoy a free breakfast featuring fresh bagels, crispy bacon, aromatic Switchback Coffee, refreshing juice, and various snacks. The morning buzzed with energy as attendees picked up flyers, stickers, and stylish t-shirts, creating a vibrant atmosphere of camaraderie and enthusiasm.
Why Bike to Work Day?
Bike to Work Day is more than just a fun morning ride; it’s a movement that promotes personal and community health, supports alternative transportation, encourages recreation, and champions sustainability. By swapping car rides for bike rides, participants boost their physical well-being and contribute to a greener, cleaner environment.
Be Part of the Fun Next Year!
This year’s event was a huge success, thanks to our sponsors' incredible turnout and generous support—KOAA-News 5, the Gazette, and 98.9 Magic FM. If you missed out, don’t worry! There’s always next year, and we’d love to see even more community members join in the fun. Imagine starting your day with a refreshing bike ride, meeting new friends, and enjoying a hearty breakfast—all while making a positive impact on our community.
