Cono Announces Kelly Bull as the New Executive Director to Lead Vision of a Community Where Everyone Loves Their Neighborhood

Cono is proud to announce the appointment of Kelly Bull as its full-time Executive Director. Bringing a deep commitment to community-building, a strong belief in the power of vibrant neighborhoods, and a track record of creative, neighbor-centered leadership, Kelly played an integral role in Cono’s evolution over the past year. As Interim Executive Director, she led strategic initiatives that expanded Cono’s reach, strengthened neighborhood connections, and brought vital programs like Neighborhood Gatherings and Neighborhood University to new heights.

Kelly embodies the characteristics of a good neighbor and her path to leadership is rooted in building trust, listening to community members, and helping people see their own strengths to realize what’s possible in their own neighborhoods. After moving to a neighborhood with little engagement, she used her expertise in ecological landscape design, systems thinking, and her passion for gardening to unite her neighbors. Her neighborhood now hosts planting parties that transform neighbors' yards into beautiful, edible, and water-wise landscapes, all through the power of neighbors working together.

Cono Board Chair Sami Mooney said, “The Board of Directors is delighted to have Kelly Bull lead Cono’s critical work into the future. Kelly lives out Cono’s values as a respected neighborhood leader in the Colorado Springs community. She brings a strong skill set in community organizing, taking vision to impact, and bringing people together. Congratulations Kelly. We can’t wait to see where you take Cono next!”
